Newingham Crescent, Orchard Park. Theft from a motor vehicle, tools taken.

In the early hours of  Tuesday January 16th, we discovered approximately 60 cannabis plants at a location in Cambridge Road, St. Neots. The plants were at various stages of maturity and have been seized, along with associated growing equipment, which will now be documented before being destroyed.  An investigation into those involved is underway, however no arrests have been made at this time. We will take action against those responsible for the production of cannabis. Anyone who suspects this to be going on in their neighbourhood should call 101, contact us via web chat, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A1123 Huntingdon Road, Wyton – Police received several calls reporting horses loose on the side of the A1123 near the Hartford Roundabout shortly after 8:00 am on Thursday 11th January. Traffic was disrupted for a time until officers arrived when one horse was located and persuaded back into its field. (Ref CC-11012018-0088)

 St Ives Road, Hilton – Intruders broke into a construction site on St Ives Road, Hilton, at some time during the night on Thursday 11th / Friday 12th January. A house undergoing renovation and builders’ metal containers were broken into but nothing is thought to have been stolen. (Ref CF0022010118) 

And Finally (Again)…..Police Funding Survey by the Police and Crime Commissioner

 

The office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough would like your opinion on a proposal to increase the policing part of the Council Tax by £1 per month per household (for a typical Band D property) as a means of increasing funding for the police – the money would go directly to supporting frontline policing in the County.
