Business Burglary

In Little Paxton:

DWELLING BURGLARY  On Tuesday 28th between 14:30 and 18:00 a house has been broken into in Park Drive. Entry has been gained by jemmying the front door. Once inside Cash and Jewellery has been stolen.

 

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE On Wednesday 29th between 19:30 and 21:00 a vehicle was broken into in Gordon Road. The Passenger window was smashed and a bag containing food was stolen from the foot well.

A14 Near Hemingford Grey – Police received a report that a lorry was broken into whilst it was parked up for the night of Monday 4th / Tuesday 5th December in a layby on the A14 near Hemingford Grey. The driver discovered the theft early on the Tuesday morning when he found that the trailer curtain had been cut and about 50 tyres were missing from inside. (Ref CF0704251217)

Weir Road, Hemingford Grey – Police received a report of a man behaving suspiciously on Weir Road, Hemingford Grey, late on Friday night, 8th December. The man was observed walking down the road and hiding in people’s driveways when he thought he had been seen. A police patrol was dispatched and officers searched the area on foot, but nothing untoward was found. (Ref CC-08122017-0576)

Daintree Way, Hemingford Grey – Thieves stole the front and rear number plates from a Skoda car at some time between Friday evening, 8th, and Saturday evening, 9th December, either whilst it was parked outside its owner’s house on Daintree Way, or whilst it was in a supermarket car-park in Huntingdon. No other damage was caused. (Ref CF0713831217)

A141 Near Wyton Roundabout – Police needed to close the A141 between Hartford and the Wyton roundabout, and also Sawtry Way, on Saturday afternoon, 9th December, following a collision between a van and a car in which four people were reported to be seriously hurt. Fire and ambulance crews, including an air ambulance, were called to deal with the incident. The roads could not reopened for several hours until the damaged vehicles had been removed and the surface cleared of debris. (Ref CC-09122017-0236)

B1040 Hilton – Police received a report of hare-coursers on land off the B1040 between Hilton and Papworth on Saturday afternoon, 9th December. A blue estate car was seen driving across the fields, with dogs in the back. They were later spotted heading towards Hilton, and the dogs were spotted chasing hares in the fields. They were last seen heading towards Yelling, but although a police patrol searched the area, the car managed to evade them and disappear. (Ref CC-09122017-0304)

Cambridge Road, Hemingford Abbots – A thief stole a lady’s handbag from the bar of a Conference Centre on Cambridge Road, Hemingford Abbots, on Tuesday afternoon, 12th December. The handbag was last seen at around 2:30 pm, but had disappeared an hour later when its owner looked for it. (Ref CF0719411217)
