PCSO’s Update

We are currently investigating a theft from motor vehicle that has occurred on 6th Oct (Thurs) between 13:00 and 14:00 at a building site located on Castle Moat Road, Huntingdon. In this offence, unknown offender(s) have entered a locked Mercedes van by unknown means and have stolen tools, with a value reported to be several thousand pounds. This location is a busy part of the town and therefore we would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch. Anyone who believes that they have information about this offence is asked to call police on 101, quoting crime reference CF0449061016 or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Detectives are currently investigating a dwelling burglary that has occurred at Ferrars Ave, Eynesbury on 07/10/2016 between 22:30 hours and 23:30 hours.

In this offence, the victim was disturbed whilst upstairs. They have gone downstairs to find the suspects arm reaching through a cat flap in a locked back door, seemingly in an attempt to remove the keys from the back of the door. Nothing has been stolen from the property and no entry has been gained but there is evidence that the suspect has entered an unlocked shed in the rear garden.

As a reminder, please ensure that keys are removed from the inside of external doors, this could make entry to your property easier for potential burglars and may invalidate your home insurance.
