PCSO’s Update

Church Street, Hemingford Grey – Just before midday on Wednesday 14th September, a resident of Church Lane answered a knock at her door and found a man there asking if she still wanted some garden tools that were in her car-port. She replied that she did need all her tools and the man left. However, the lady subsequently found that her garden rake was missing, and believes that the man returned to steal it. There is no description of the man at the moment.

Splash Lane, Wyton – A silver Renault Cleo van was stolen from farm premises on Splash Lane, Wyton, sometime overnight on Wednesday 14th / Friday 15th September. The van was parked in a yard closed by a farm gate. It was subsequently stopped near Kings Lynn by Norfolk police, who arrested the driver on charges of theft of a motor vehicle.

Houghton Hill, Houghton – The occupant of a room at a Guest House on Houghton Hill caused damage to the room and left without paying the bill on Saturday 17th September. Enquiries are continuing to clarify the details of this incident.

Hemingford Road, St Ives – An unknown intruder entered the garage of a house on Hemingford Road sometime between 10:00 and midday on Sunday 18th September, gaining access through an unlocked side door. The person subsequently left via the up-and-over door. At the moment, it does not appear that anything was stolen.

A14 Westbound – Police were called to a road traffic incident on the westbound A14 at 6:30 pm on Sunday 18th September in which three cars were involved in a collision. The cars were able to be moved into a layby, and although an ambulance was called, no serious injuries were reported. All was clear by 7:30 pm.

Between the 17/09/2016 and the 19/09/2016 unknown offenders have used an unknown implement to cut a horse rope fencing in several places. This occurred along the High Street in Dry Drayton.

Between the 01/09/2016 and the 19/09/2016 unknown offenders have gained entry into a garage in Mill Field, Cottenham and have stolen a moped from within.

Lost and Found:

Found – High Street, Hemingford Grey – 4:00 pm Sunday 18th September – An Apple i-phone, possibly an i-phone 6, with a silver, shiny, hard cover – requested to be brought in to Huntingdon Police Station.

Found – Rideaway, Hemingford Abbots – 4:30 pm Monday 19th September – A blue Suzuki GS125 motorbike, with no number plates or chassis number and in very poor condition – removed by recovery services..
