PCSO’s Update

During the night hrs of the 27th and 28th July, a criminal damage to a stationary parked vehicle took place in Minerva Way, Orchard Park. Unknown offender has caused damage to this vehicle by puncturing the tyres.

River Ouse, Wyton – At around 4:15 pm on Thursday 21st July, a pleasure boat returning to Hartford Marina from the Huntingdon direction was hit by an object either thrown or catapulted at it by an unknown member of a group of teenagers on the bank. Slight damage was caused to the boat in the incident.

Houghton Lock – At 4:00 pm on Friday 22nd July, police received a report of young people playing in the water and jumping off the bridge near the Houghton Lock. When police arrived they found a large group of youths involved, and advised them of the dangers of playing around in the water near the lock.

Haley Close, Hemingford Grey – Sometime between 5:00 pm on Saturday 23rd and 6:45 pm on Sunday 24th July, unknown persons broke into a house on Haley Close by forcing open a ground-floor window at the back. Once inside the offenders conducted a tidy search and left having stolen a lap-top computer.

Houghton Mill – At 1:00 pm on Sunday 24th July, unknown persons stole a kindle electronic reading device from the backpack of a cyclist who had stopped at Houghton Mill for refreshments at the cafe. The backpack was attached to the bicycle handlebars at the time of the theft, which occurred in the few minutes that the victim was away from his bike.

Houghton Lock – At 2:30 pm on Wednesdfay 27th July, police received more reports of young people climbing on the structure of the sluice at Houghton Lock and jumping into the water. However, when police arrived, all was quiet.

London Road, St Ives – At 11:30 pm on Wednesday night, 27th July, police received a report of suspicious behaviour from a resident on London Road who had seen a car drive up to the gate on her driveway. The driver and passenger got out of the car but then quickly got back in and drove off when they noticed a CCTV camera at the property. They were both reported to have been wearing ski-masks.

St Ives Road, Hemingford Grey – Between 4:30 and 5:00 pm on Thursday 28th July, an incident occurred at Hemingford Grey Primary School in which a teenage girl was pulled off her bike by a group of teenage boys, who also reportedly attempted to damage her bicycle. The victim was with a small group of friends when the incident took place.

Between the 27/07/2016 and the 28/07/2016 unknown offenders have scratched along the rear and sides of a silver Jaguar whilst parked on Varrier Jones Drive, Papworth Everard.

Between the 28/07/2016 and the 29/07/2016 unknown offenders have broken into a grey Hyundai and have stolen items from within. This occurred whilst parked along Narrow Lane, Histon.

The following are the recorded crimes for the above period which are deemed to affect the Eynesbury ward.

On Thursday 21/07/2016 between 14:00 and 18:00 hours in Stocker Way.
Unknown offender has taken two hanging baskets from near the front door of a residential property.

Between Thursday 21/07/2016 and Thursday 28/07/2016 in Pope Road.
Unknown offender/s have stolen a ceramic vase from the front doorstep of a residential property

Between Saturday 23/07/2016 12:00 hours and Sunday 24/07/2016 20:00 hours in Howitts Gardens.
Unknown offender/s have stolen front and rear index plates from a silver Honda Civic.

Between Saturday 23/07/2016 18:00 hours and Sunday 10:20 hours in Mallard Lane
Front and rear index plates were stolen from Volkswagen Golf whilst parked in a car park.

On Sunday 24/07/2016 at 04:18 hours in Duck Lane
Unknown offender/s have stolen items from a blue Landrover Discovery estate.

On Sunday 24/07/2016 at 06:26 hours in Hampden Way.
Unknown offenders have stolen items from a white Kia Sportage 4×4.

On Monday 25/07/2016 between 22:55 and 23:05 hours in Howitts Gardens.
Unknown offenders have gained entry to a Ford Transit Connect van.

26/07/2016 15:00 – 27/07/2016 09:10 in Andrew Road driveway
Unknown offender/s have thrown a stone through the rear window of a silver Peugeot 206.
