PCSO’s Update

Church Street, Hemingford Grey – Police received a call reporting a man behaving suspiciously around houses on Church Street, Hemingford Grey, at around 6:00 pm on Friday 25th August. The man was described as in his 60s or 70s, of Asian appearance, shabbily dressed and carrying an umbrella. The caller was concerned about the man’s well-being as he seemed confused or lost when spoken to. A police patrol was dispatched and officers searched the area, but no-one matching the description could be found. (Ref CC-25082017-0362)

Houghton Grange, Houghton – Police received a report of intruders on motorbikes inside the grounds of the disused Houghton Grange on Houghton Hill, late on Monday evening 28th August. The report stated that about 10 riders had been seen inside the grounds, having caused damage to a fence before leaving the site at speed. (Ref CF0493990817)

Date Occurred: 29/08/2017 between 22:00 – 22:15 Location: Travelodge Hotel Car Park, Orchard Park Description: Unknown offender/s have forced entry into a van and stolen a generator.

Date Occurred: 29/08/2017 at 18:00 and 30/0/820/17 at 07:30 Location: Smith Street, Elsworth Description: Unknown offender/s have unscrewed and taken both number plates of a stationary parked vehicle.
