Entry has been gained to the premises via an unlocked rear gate allowing access to totally hidden rear garden, a downstairs opening window has been broken and access gained. Occurred during hours of daylight.

Theft of a pedal cycle (Holywell Ferry Rd, Fen Drayton)

Unknown offender/s have stolen a Red Claude Butler Cambridge bike from the bike rack at the Fen Drayton RSPB bus stop.

Turberville Court, Hemingford Grey – Police received a report of damage to a car left parked outside its owner’s house on Turberville Court, Hemingford Grey, at sometime overnight on Monday 7th / Tuesday 8th August. The owner heard noises in the night but discovered in the morning that the car had been extensively damaged in the boot area in an apparent attempt to break in, which was fortunately unsuccessful. Margetts, Hemingford Grey – There was a break-in and burglary at a house on Margetts whilst the owners were away on holiday, discovered by a neighbour on Tuesday 8th August. Few details are available at the moment but a broken conservatory door is thought to be the entry point, and upstairs rooms were ransacked with pieces of jewellery amongst the items stolen (Ref CF0453980817).

A14 Eastbound Galley Hill – Police received a report of a large lorry having left the road, ending up in a ditch, on the eastbound A14 at Galley Hill, just before 7:30 am on Tuesday 8th August. An ambulance was called for the lorry driver and recovery of the vehicle was postponed as closure of the carriageway would be required. (Ref CC-08082017-0063).

Westbrook, Hilton – Someone smashed one of the rear windows of a black Citroen car whilst it was parked outside its owner’s house in the Westbrook area of Hilton, at sometime between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm on Sunday 13th August. The victim was out at the time the crime took place but neighbours were unaware and did not notice anything suspicious. (Ref CF0463670817)

Lost and Found:

Found – Thicket Road, Friday evening, 11th August – a girl’s pink and white ‘Viking’ bicycle – to be brought in to Huntingdon Police Station. (Ref CC-11082017-0514)
