Police are appealing for information following a garage break-in at a house on Scott’s Crescent, Hilton, at around 5:30 am on Tuesday 18th July. CCTV caught images of two men forcing the garage door open, but it appears that they may have been disturbed and left without entering the garage or taking anything. The CCTV also shows the men looking inside and trying the handles of a Transit van that was parked on a neighbouring driveway at the time – however, the van was locked and empty and the men moved away. Police have carried out enquiries at neighbouring houses, and are looking into reports that a suspicious silver car was seen at the location at the time.
