Unknown offender(s) have stolen a Timberwolf 150 bright orange wood chipper from the driveway of the property where the owner as working. The wood chipper was locked with a padlock.


CRIMINAL DAMAGE  (Village Hall, The Spinney, Bar Hill)

Unknown offenders have gone to the scout hut and caused damage to a window at the front possibly by throwing a bottle several times at the window as there is broken glass around. No entry gained.



OTHER THEFT (Papworth)

Unknown offender(s) has stolen 4 x heavy duty batteries from 2 x temporary traffic lights set up and left on Ermine Street South, Papworth Everard.

Dunnock Way, St Ives – Two girls’ bicycles were stolen from the front garden of a house on Dunnock Way on Tuesday afternoon, 11th July. Both bikes had been left unsecured in the garden when they were taken at some time between 2:30 pm and 3:45 pm. One bike is blue with a white basket and a brown saddle, the other is purple with a black basket, white wheels and a white saddle.

A14 Galley Hill – Police were called to a collision between a lorry and a car on the slip-road onto the eastbound A14 at Galley Hill, at 7:15 am on Wednesday 12th July. Fortunately no-one was injured and both vehicles were clear of the carriageway so no police intervention was required.

 Hilton – Police were called to a collision between two cars in a residential cul-de-sac in Hilton just after 7:00 am on Saturday morning, 15th July. It appears that one car had run into the other which was parked on the roadside, shunting it onto the path and tipping it onto its side. One person was reported to have been slightly injured, and recovery services were needed to tow the damaged car away.

Mere Way, Wyton – There was an attempted break-in at a commercial site on Mere Way, Wyton, at some time before 5:00 pm on Saturday 15th July. Intruders cut through a wire fence and tried unsuccessfully to move a concrete post in an attempt to get inside the open compound at the site, however it is not thought that anything was stolen.

 Suspicious Incidents Reported This Week:

 Gunnings Way, Hemmingford Grey – A resident reported seeing a suspicious man in blue work clothes and wearing a red lanyard knocking on doors on Gunnings Way on Friday morning, 14th July. The man was observed looking through windows and at one point he lifted a drain cover, before walking off down an alleyway.


Burglary Residential – Dwelling(Wilkin Walk, Cottenham)

Offender(s) tried to enter the house through the back door but only managing to damage the door frame, they then smashed a window situated on the side of the house which is where they entered the property. Premises ransacked and bleach poured over the carpets.



Theft of a pedal cycle (Orchard Park East Bus Stop)

Unknown offender has stolen the bike which had been left locked at bike rack at the Orchard Park East bus stop. Tall framed town bike. Panier rack. 21 gears. Handle twist gear shift. Black plastic mudguards. No suspension. Caliper brakes.



Theft of a pedal cycle (Guided Busway, Oakington)

Silver col Raleigh gent’s hybrid cycle stolen by unknown means whilst secured to cycle racks by means of a D lock. The lock has also been taken



THEFT (Girton Road, Girton)

Polytunnel located at allotments has been entered and old MOUNTFIELD lawn mower stolen from inside.

Bike has been damaged whilst left in a bike rack at nature reserve.
