CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO A VEHICLE (Harlestones Road, Cottenham)

10/07/2017 22:00 – 11/07/2017 07:00

Owner has parked his renault traffic locked and secured on his driveway, overnight unknown persons have climbed on the roof of the van causing denting.

With the recent warm weather, some properties have been left insecure and vulnerable to opportunist thieves.
On 25/06/2017 between 10: 30 and 14:45 a property in Cottenham Rd, Histon was burgled with the intruder gaining access via an insecure ground floor window.
Also on 16/06/2017 between 10:00 and 13:00 a property in Homers Lane, Castle Camps was burgled with intruders potentially gaining access via a top floor window that was left open. Even if you are only going out for a short time, make sure that all windows and doors are locked and secure. Do not leave keys in the locks, and set your alarm if you have one fitted. Security devices such as window shock alarms can be useful, consider fitting window limiters to protect vulnerable ground floor windows which can be used while at home.
