PCSO’s Update

A14 Galley Hill – Police received a report of three possible illegal immigrants seen climbing out of the back of a lorry at the Galley Hill fly-over on the A14, just before 3:00 pm on Wednesday 14th December. Although police attended and searched the area, no-one matching the descriptions of the men could be located.

Potton Road, Hilton – Police have appealed for information following a break-in and burglary that occurred at a house on Potton Road, Hilton, sometime between 1:00 pm and 10:30 pm on Wednesday 14th December. Thieves entered the house by breaking a window in patio doors at the back and then using the key left in the lock to open them and let themselves in. Once inside, they ransacked several rooms and left having stolen items of jewellery, cash and other personal property. Investigations are continuing but police would like to hear from anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area during the time period in question. Houghton Grange – Police received a report of trespassers entering derelict buildings on the disused Houghton Grange site at 4:00 pm on Wednesday 14th December. A group of teenagers had been seen entering the dangerous buildings, but when police arrived and searched the area, no one was found.

Stepping Stones / Marsh lane / Victoria Terrace – Suspicious  behaviour was reported to police at these three locations during the evening of Wednesday 14th December. Residents reported unknown people walking onto their driveways, cruising in a suspicious white Ford Transit van, or cold-calling at their front doors. No offences were committed but the incidents were logged for intelligence purposes.

Banks End, Wyton – Someone stole a purse and a mobile phone from a lady’s handbag, in a cafe at Banks End, Wyton, at around 4:30 pm on Sunday 18th December. The handbag had been left open on a chair next to its owner. The purse contained a small amount of cash and the Apple i-phone 6 was inside a pink, blue and white case.

Between: Sunday 18th December at 22:30 hours to Monday 19th December at 07:30 hours on Gordan Road. Unknown offenders have entered five cars parked on a residential driveway and stolen items from within.

On the 19/12/2016 between 08:00-23:00hrs unknown offenders have stolen a locked male’s Giant pedal cycle and combination lock from the guided bus route in Impington.

On the 20/12/2016 a member of the public has reported damage to a Toyota offside window . This vehicle was parked in Foxglove Way, Orchard Park.

Between the 18/12/2016 and the 20/12/2016 unknown offenders have caused damage to a black Mercedes CLS whilst parked on a driveway in Spring Close, Histon.

On the 21/12/2016 unknown offenders have caused damage to a white Toyota by smashing a window whilst parked in Sweetpea Way, Orchard Park.
