PCSO’s Update

In the past 24hrs, in the Histon sector, the following relevant crimes have been reported to the police.

On the 07/05/2016 between 20:00-22:00 unknown offender has pulled up and damaged plants in front garden to a residential bungalow in Home Close, Histon.

Pound Road, Hemingford Grey – Between 6:30 pm on Saturday 30th April and 10:00 am on Wednesday 4th May, unknown persons burgled a residential property being renovated here. The offenders removed a metal gate from across the driveway, broke into a caravan and a garden work-shop and stole a quantity of power tools and equipment as well as some lengths of metal piping and cabling. They also entered and searched through the house but took nothing from inside.

Graveley Road, Hilton – At 8:15 in the morning of Wednesday 4th May, police were called to a road traffic collision between two cars here which had blocked the road. An ambulance was required as both drivers had received minor injuries, and recovery services were needed to remove the vehicles from the scene of the incident. The road was re-opened by 9:15.

A141 Hartford Hill –  Mid-afternoon on Sunday 8th May, police were called to an incident here in which a single car had left the road and ended up in the ditch on its roof. The driver was not trapped but had received injuries and was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics. Recovery services were needed to remove the damaged car from the ditch.

Fenstanton Road, Hilton – Between 6:15 pm on Monday 2nd May and  7:00 pm on Tuesday 3rd May, unknown persons broke into a metal container located just inside the gate of a residential property here. The padlock securing the container was cut but the container was empty and nothing was stolen.

Chequer Street, Fenstanton – At 1:15 am in the early morning of Saturday 7th May, unknown persons stole a small two-wheeled galvanised-metal trailer from the driveway of its owner, where it had been left locked and secure. The thieves arrived in a small car and towed the trailer away.

02/05/16 20:00 – 03/05/16 20:15hrs
Brook Farm, Offord Road, Graveley
Offenders have opened the rear doors of five vans and two cars stored at an isolated site. Attempt made to open workshop doors but no entry gained. Nothing taken.
